Jorge Zirulnik

Physician specialist in Psychiatry. He trained in working with HIV/ AIDS patients at the McGill AIDS Unit of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Canada. He worked as a consulting psychiatrist at the Hospital Muñiz in Buenos Aires and then as a staff psychiatrist at the Infectious Diseases and HIV Unit of the Hospital Fernandez of Buenos Aires. He is currently an honorary consultant of that institution. He received an award in 2007 for his pioneering work in the psychiatric field with HIV/AIDS patients, granted by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires and the Argentine AIDS Society. He is the author of the book HOMOVIRALIS. Biointellectual History of AIDS.
